Familiarize self with locations of livestock and daily livestock care routine, learn about general operations, familiarize self with safety protocols, prepare for vegetable planting season including seedling care, up-potting, bed preparation, soil nutrition evaluation, and follow-up treatments, learning rotational grazing basics

Gregory J. Wilt has owned and operated Sublime Organics since its inception in 2014. He has a Master of Science degree in Management Technology. He has been an aspiring farmer taking on various roles from the time he was nine helping with farm chores and started working on an organic dairy and vegetable farm at age twelve. He took on other paths at age eighteen, but managed a small family farm for seven years from 1991 until 1998, before founding Sublime Organics with his wife, Ellen in 2014.

animal husbandry with emphasis on goat and sheep hygiene, biodynamic, and certified organic farming, which includes record keeping, introduction to cover cropping, Mulching for moisture conservation, assessing ESA endangered plant on the property, and reporting to US Fish and Wildlife Service

Assist training during daily animal care chores with verbal and hands-on instruction;
Assist with vaccination delivery to livestock; and hoof care.

harvest procedures, packaging for market procedures, canning and freezing techniques, crop care including staking, pruning, fertilizing, pest control, cultivating, irrigating, marketing, haymaking

Ellen and Greg Wilt will teach the trainee about marketing, organic pest control, handling of produce for market, cultivating for weed control, and irrigating. The majority of training will be verbal with supporting hands-on practice. Further details will be provided through written text and the internet. The trainee will also be encouraged to participate in webinars on the subjects through various sources, i.e., USDA, NRSC, OSU Extension Services, FACT, Rodale Institute, Friends of Family Farmers, etc. When available, training will have the opportunity to visit other farm operations.
