To understand and be able to carry out tasks on the farm, as listed below.

Andrew Rodgers, Farm manager w/ 20+ years organic farming experience

4. What plans are in place for the Trainee/Steward to participate in cultural activities while in the United States?

Participation in CRAFT, Farm social events, Family get togethers, can attend Several churches near the farm, Trips to the beach

5. Specific knowledge, skills, or techniques to be learned during this phase?

Organic livestock care (hens, pigs, goats, and sheep) / Safely operation of farm vehicles / Introduction to farm tractors /Greenhouse care & seeding

Hands on, real time orientation. Trainee will learn on the job. As time passes, the trainee will work more independently.

daily check-ins, evaluations and corrections until the trainee is competent in the tasks
