1. Describe the Trainee/Steward’s role for this phase |
The first month will focus on getting familiar with the layout of operations, learning their way around the community and developing a routine. Weekly work will be basic manual labor with the rabbits, chickens, pigeons assisting with feeding of the pigs, goats, sheep, etc and possibly some work in the garden depending on the time of year. Visit the Farmers Market and explore the sales and business aspects of selling ranch products |

Primary role for the trainee will be to help introduce the new trainee to the farm activities |

Trainee will be able to determine is an animal is sick, how to approach a diagnosis and set up a treatment plan. |

The trainee will focus on transferring knowledge to the next generation of trainees or new employees |

The trainee will work with the new trainee following along. Observation and hands on practice of skills will be practiced under the observation of the owners. |

Skills will be measured by how well the new trainee understands the basic ideas of how the farm is run. Evaluation will be done by the owners. |
