Detailed Placement Description

We farm using some very advanced small scale techniques that are affordable and easy to use. We feel this can transfer to any culture and help others farm profitable. We have 10,000 square feet of greenhouses on our farm and have a highly productive market garden and orchards. We don’t have animals on our farm and focus on high quality fruits and vegetables. We believe in being kind to the earth and have deep organic approach to our gardens. We feel we all are different and accept all ideas with a positive attiude. Our farm is very fast paced and can be stressful and we find having a good attitude makes the hard times go better.

About the Internship

Training Expectations :

responsible, good attitude, open to new ideas, interest in orchards and vegetable production. Interest in earth worms and the environment. Interest in community and providing excellent customer service.

On-Site Training, Steward’s primary activities :

use of driving tractors, walk behind tractors, specialty hand tool and day to day farm chores. Learning a production system and following a weekly routine and schedule. Harvest and post harvest techniques of gourment food crops and following distribution systems.

Climate and Location Description

mild spring and hot summers and mild fall cold winters. Semi urban. We will train you to get a drivers license as well as the public transportation.

Compensation :

$400.00 every two weeks, small bunkhouse, we all eat together alot but will have food for you too or give a food stipend to buy food, Health insurance
