About the Farm:
We're located in the beautiful Hudson Valley region on New York State. Our farm is surrounded by woods, hiking, and rural towns. Our farm is certified organic. Our programs include Native American Seed restoration, locating and growing endangered regional varieties, working with farmers and chefs to increase seed diversity in the Hudson Valley, and producing seed.

About the Internship
General Expectations and work flow :
Most work days are 8 hours except during events, special work days, and "seedmergencies". Interns will work across multiple programs including the Native American Seed Sanctuary at Farm Hub, Kitchen Cultivars with Glynwood, and the Hudson Valley Seed Company. Skills include growing vegetable, flower, and herb varieties, evaluating varieties in trials, harvesting and processing wet and dry processed seeds. Educating communities about cooperative seed efforts. Drying, storing, testing and packing seeds.
On-farm training :
Wet and dry seed production in the Northeast. Cultivating and evaluating trials for agricultural and culinary traits. Hosting field days.
Compensation, Accommodations and amenities provided :
There is a weekly stipend but currently no housing options. We will work with the right candidate to help find affordable housing.
